The 1st pilot exercise was held on San Sebastien, Spain and specifically in ANOETA stadium. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anoeta_Stadium ).
The eVACUATE pilot demonstration in ASRS held in San Sebastian on Saturday October 22, 2016.
Main outcomes: The results of the pilot demonstration were above expectation. We (eVACUATE Team) encountered only minor problems or errors while agreeing at the end of the day that it was a complete success. Of course we all see points for improvement.
The pilot acted as a starting point to further improve the eVACUATE system and showcasing its effectiveness. In further pilots we will focus on the improved integrated functionality of eVACUATE systems, rather than the technical aspects, and emphasize its added value for end-users.
In total the demonstration lasted 1 hours and fifteen minutes. We started at 10:45 with the RFID check at the entrance and the demonstration ended at 12:00 hours with saying goodbye and presenting tickets for the match that afternoon to the volunteers. Several tests were performed in this time as shown in the available video below. A total number of 73 volunteers were present in the pilot demonstration.
